Insight Global Cerner Millenium Integration Specialist in Amherst, Nova Scotia

Job Description

A large healthcare client's Information Management and Information Technology group is looking for a Cerner Millenium Integration Specialist. The specialist will report to the Director, OPOR (One Patient, One Record) Technology and Integration, while serving as an integrated partner for systems, people, and workflows.

The Specialist will provide guidance and expertise on the design, implementation, and sustainment of the province wide OPOR CIS solution and work with the team to build long-term capacity within Nova Scotia. The Cerner Millennium Integration Specialist will foster an excellent relationship between Oracle Health and other vendor partners and OPOR leadership to ensure timely and smooth project deliverables across Nova Scotia.

The Cerner Millennium Integration Specialist performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

* Work with Oracle Health and the OPOR team to support a domain strategy and project activities for multiple go-lives, issue management, and change management

*  Conduct Code Management activities, including package reviews, prioritizing package installations based on impact and severity

* Conducts regular quality and system performance reviews, including details related to software, hardware, and database performance, leveraging Oracle Health tools such as Lights On Network

* Work closely with the OPOR team on integrated workflows and supporting functionality. Offer advice and experience when it comes to solution design, and applicability to scaling the CIS across the province

* Utilize extensive experience working in cross-functional teams in integrating the suite of Millennium applications, for a scalable solution across a wide region (preferably Canada)

* Maintain and foster strong relationship with vendor and partners

* Support skills development for OPOR Technology and Integration team members

* Attend in-person meetings as needed

Skills and Requirements

-Extensive knowledge and skills in the integration and deployment of Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) CIS solutions, including tools to track, perform and validate activities

-5+ years of experience managing and sustaining modern CIS systems (i.e. a remote-hosted Cerner Millennium), preferably in Canada

-5 to 7 years leadership experience with large scale, integrated clinical information system programs in the healthcare sector

-Experience managing multiple go live events, and multi-domain programs

-Demonstrated skills in working with all levels of staff in an organization and the ability to work with external groups, agencies, and/or individuals

-Demonstrated ability to translate clinical and business strategies / requirements as well as technology roadmap into practical architectural solutions

-Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience. -Cerner certification an asset.
