Insight Global Testing Strategist in Amherst, Nova Scotia

Job Description

A large healthcare client's Information Management and Information Technology group is looking for a Testing Strategist to support testing of the integrated OPOR (One Patient, One Record) CIS solutions for go-live readiness. This Testing Strategist will report to the Director, OPOR Technology and Integration. They will support the testing workstreams activities for the OPOR program. They will provide guidance and expertise to the OPOR Programs leadership team based on their extensive experience with testing of the integrated suite of Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) solutions. They will provide guidance and expertise to the OPOR Programs leadership team based on their extensive experience with achieving system readiness through appropriate testing. The Testing Strategist will foster an excellent relationship between Oracle Health, other vendor partners, and OPOR leadership to ensure timely and smooth project deliverables across Nova Scotia.

The Testing Strategist performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

 Support accountabilities for execution of the OPOR Testing strategy

 Support OPOR CIS Workstreams to understand and adapt Oracle Healths Testing Tools and Methodologies (e.g. system and integration testing)

 Support integration testing with existing applications, device integration / testing of components such as printers, labelers, BMDI etc.

 Involve and support Subject Matter Experts (SME) in testing identify various approaches employed by other implementations or jurisdictions and integrate those strategies into a OPOR Program specific plan by delineating roles, responsibilities, and tracking methods.

 Support accountabilities for the Defect Tracking Process

 Maintain and foster strong relationship with the OPOR team, vendor and other partners

 Develop and align testing plan and associated activities with the OPOR Integrated Project Plan, including dependencies such as multiple go lives, multiple domains, code updates, etc.

 Develop a dashboard to track and share Testing Strategy status/progress for leadership and other members of the OPOR team prior to and during multiple staged go lives.

 Develop required documentation and artefacts for implementation, quality assurance, and traceability

 Develop and support a capacity and skills development approach for testing activities

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

-5 to 7 years leadership experience with large scale data migration and archiving programs, and services in the healthcare sector

-Extensive knowledge and skills in the Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) Clinical Information System solutions

-Extensive experience in conducting effective testing from legacy systems to a region-wide, integrated Oracle Health (Cerner Millennium) solution

-Experience in program-wide Defect Tracking Process: Developing, administering, and building team skills

-Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience. -Cerner certification an asset.

-Project management experience an asset. null
