Insight Global Indirect Purchasing Agent in Arlington, Tennessee

Job Description

A Client/Employer in Memphis, TN is looking for an Indirect Purchasing Agent. This individual will join the purchasing team and sit onsite 5 days a week. The Indirect Purchasing Agent will be responsible for MRO/Spare parts and Equipment procurement. Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage outsourcing suppliers globally.

  • Resolve discrepancies with invoicing or materials.

  • Communicate with customs, brokers, and vendors.

  • Negotiate price and contract terms.

  • Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing policies

  • Communicate with internal/external customers and cross functional teams to ensure assignments, objectives, cost savings and deliverables are on target.

  • Get reports on key procurement/deliveries/results on a weekly basis

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (experienced applicants)

  • Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with achieving, monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

  • Strong responsibility, communications, interpersonal, organization skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) * Background in automotive or chemical production equipment industry

  • Experience in data/market/indicator analysis and demand forecasting

  • Background in developing automotive parts and managing procurement as a buyer or SQE null
