Job Description
The Head Start teacher has the primary responsibility to promote the social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of each child. The teacher will work with infant children through the age of 5 in a safe and supervised educational environment. The teacher must involve parents in every aspect of program, working with them to establish both long and short term goals that will assure the necessary readiness outcomes needed for school success.

Skills and Requirements
Foster childrens social and emotional development by providing warmth, sensitivity, nurturance, acceptance, and safety. Create a safe environment for play and help children understand their feelings and emotions. Complete daily assessments and document childs day through the Teacher Strategy Go application. Facilitate feeding that is appropriate to childs age. Develop social and emotional language through play. Plan and execute monthly lesson plans supported by Head Start curriculum. 1-4 ratio - 2 teachers per classroom with a max capacity of 8 children. null
