Insight Global Site Reliability Engineer in Bethesda, Maryland

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for the oversight of different tools and vendors across multiple systems. This individual will be responsible for keep up to date with upgrades and new tools being released so they are able to take this information back to the different teams and teach them how to use it. As an SRE on our project, you will ensure that knowledge objects (dashboards, alerts, etc) are properly configured to help identify areas for improvement in the system architecture and constantly look for ways to make the platform better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. Your expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You will help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This role gives you the opportunity to learn and grow within many new tools. This role is offering between $60-120/hr depending on years of experiance.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience being hands on in a Splunk, AWS or New Relic environment

o Primarily in Splunk ITSI and Splunk Core

 Experience providing oversight across multiple systems and vendors to ensure they are working properly

 Experience training and teaching new tools and upgraded software to teams across multiple systems

 Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc)

 Ability to obtain a Public Trust Prior experience working with Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS)

 Experience supporting an e-commerce platform

 Knowledge of Packer, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code components necessary to automate build and deployment of systems null
