Insight Global Air Separation Unit Operator in Brandenburg, Kentucky
Job Description
Overview:
Insight Global is looking for an Air Separation Unit Operator to work with one of largest steel manufacturing clients in their newest acquisition. This facility is responsible for air separation units (ASU), which can include a cryogenic tank, exposes the air to various temperatures to break down its components. Usually, it contains a huge amount of oxygen, which steelmaking needs. The overall process is to help improve the steel quality for the parent company's products nationwide.
Day to Day:
* Reporting to plant manager in morning safety meetings and handoff meetings with other shift teammates
* Overseeing 5 to 10 computer screens responsible for analyzing ASU data regarding pressure changes, valve control, temperature control and more.
* Documentation and testing of ASU trucks, ensuring quality is good and standards are met before shipments
* Overseeing water systems responsible for cooling pressure and condensing gasses
* Maintenance for machines, machine set ups, and machine cleaning of oil leaks and more
* Teachings and consistent training of ASU process theory and practice, partnering with managers and teammates until comfortable working alone

Must Haves:
* Mechanically inclined, able to work on machines and set machines up
* Experience in report writing and documentation Plusses:
* Background in cryogenics or previous ASU experience
* Background in distillation null
