Insight Global Technical Lead Tester in Calgary, Alberta
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Test Lead/Tester to join our team for an exciting program focused on integrating, optimizing, modernizing, and sustainably governing our data management systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the testing of the design, development & operational support of the infrastructure of our systems. The scope of this role encompasses preparing a test strategy/plan, detailed test cases and test execution strategy to ensure timely delivery of a quality product. The resource will be both accountable and responsible for the test strategy and plan, as well as executing hands-on testing of the system. The scope of testing should be mapped back to any documented system requirements and/or design to ensure the outcome is what the operational team and business expects to see in terms of working functionality.
The Test Lead/Test will work with our D&IT operational & project team members to establish and deliver high value product deliverables within the program.

Skills and Requirements
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in or related experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field and or experience
Minimum of 10 years with skillset identified.
Experience developing Test Strategies and test plans
Define test objectives, scope, and criteria for success
Documenting QA activities include Test scenarios at a high level and test case development at a lower level for execution.
Test Execution plan including defining all types testing required: Unit Testing, Functional Testing, Security Testing, Performance testing, Error Handling, Dependencies (Data & Environment), Resource plan for testing,
Experience testing ETL, Data, BI, and reporting applications
Experience testing data that is being transferred/migrated - and ensure the quality of the data is not compromised in that migration.
Good experience in data analysis, data profiling, preparing test data, etc.
Technical skillset required:
o Data analysis skills
o SQL (read and write) o Azure, RBAC, ADF, Databricks, ADLS
o QA/Testing tools and technologies
o CloudOps experience
o GitLab pipelines
o Bicep
o Infrastructure as Code null
