Insight Global Data Quality Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description

Are you passionate about data and data quality? Insight Global is seeking an experienced Data Quality Engineer to join our enterprise-wide data governance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality data to our stakeholders.

The Data Quality Specialist will work closely with Business and Functional areas to improve the quality and value of core data assets, respond to regulatory protection requirements as well as support the strategic requirements of the department.

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of data quality rules and resolutions.

* Identify areas of improvement in data quality processes and propose solutions to enhance data accuracy and reliability across data lifecycle.

* Engage with product owners and development leads to create testing strategies

* Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to implement data quality best practices and optimize data workflows.

* Document data quality issues, testing procedures, and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.

* Assist in developing and maintaining data governance policies and standards.

* Design, monitor and maintain QA reports, KPIs & quality trends for the internal data systems

Skills and Requirements

Experience and skill requirement:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

* A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in a data quality team.

* Experience with data processing concepts like mapping documents and complex data relationships.

* Experience with requirement analysis, defect tracking, coordinating with team members in different locations, and test reporting and signoff.

* Strong analytical and technical skills to address sophisticated issues.

* Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects.

* Detailed and organized approach to solving problems.

* Communication skills that prioritize collaboration over conflict.

* Previous experience with Agile methodology

* Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and manipulating data

* Experience with Python for data manipulation and analysis

* Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, DBT, and Tableau

* Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets

* Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and best practices

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

* Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively Preferred

* Financial industry knowledge.

* Regulatory reporting exposure.

* Familiarity with data observability.

* Superb verbal, written communication skill.

* Collaborates in a matrixed work environment.

* Self-driven and takes initiatives.

* Reviews, and provides effective direction to the associates.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities across all experience levels. null
