Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Controller to join their team in the Charlotte, NC area. Our client is a fast-growing profitable provider of aerospace thermal management, power and actuation products and repair services. They are a strategic global partner to leading players in the aerospace industry and specializes in providing innovative commercial, defense, OEM and repair/overhaul solutions. Their experience, flexibility, and commitment to meeting customers requirements have positioned them to be a trusted partner to some of the worlds leading aircraft manufacturers, OEMs, airlines, MROs, air forces and defense organizations. They are headquartered in Charlotte, NC and employs more than 600 employees worldwide, with facilities in the US and Israel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor the company's accounting team

  • Developing and implementing processes and routines for the group's controllership

  • Oversee the Monthly/quarterly close process and other accounting routines

  • Work closely with the VP finance on projects as unifying systems processes and routines, take an active part in the finance department's transitioning project

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements

  • Collaborating with the FP&A team to improve reporting analysis

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations

  • Oversee tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes

  • Develop and drive innovative process improvements that leverage technology and maximize overall efficiency while strengthening internal controls

  • Manage inventory accuracy and cycle counts

  • Implementing SOX regulations in the companies

  • Assur HR Governance/Oversight over Payroll

  • Coordinate audits and prepare the necessary documentation for external auditors

Skills and Requirements

-BS in Accounting required or related field

-CPA

  • Audit experience

-2-3 years' experience in a Controller role

-At least one role in a global company.

  • Manufacturing experience

-Thorough knowledge of GAAP, procedures and legislation

-Office and accounting software programs. ERP systems and Excel

-Tax Regulations - Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations -Big Four accounting firm experience

-Working for a publicly traded company

-Understanding of SOX requirements

-Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls null
