Insight Global Jr. Data Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

An employer is looking for Jr. Data Analysts to join their team remotely. This analyst is responsible for a book of assigned clients. They will be running reports, completing regular audits which can vary from standard to custom based on client needs and circumstances, communicating this output with internal partners and/or the clients, making data corrections with approval when necessary and ultimately ensuring the accurate filing and transmission for said book of clients with the IRS and applicable states.

* Auditing data to decipher whether employees are eligible for benefits or not- produce reports with details and communicate impact to internal team

* Depending on the data, moving people (manually or create import)

o If yes- window to enroll in benefits

o Or losing coverage- end date and cobra files

* Perform audits around zip codes and addresses -- ensure employees are in the right plan based on where they live

* Audit ACA data to ensure employees have the right generated code for your salary, geography etc.

* Handle filing with the IRS

* Responsible for processing 1095/1094 forms for the current tax filing year

o Taking demographic and eligibility data from the year to ensure 1095c is accurate and what is sent to IRS is accurate

* Data elements to make sure the system is doing what is supposed to do, and if not-- correcting that data

o System could be wrong, bad data has come in from the vendor and or client

* Work on reprocessing/refiling of past year forms

Skills and Requirements

2+ years experience data management, data manipulation, or data analysis experience

Strong Excel experience (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)

* Report analysis- take results of reports and look in system to identify core data elements, what looks off how can we make changes

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Systems operations experience with configurations/processing

Strong attention to detail

Strong problem-solving skills

Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced organization null
