Insight Global L2 SOC Analyst in Detroit, Michigan

Job Description

Day to Day:

Our financial services client is seeking L2 SOC Analysts to join their Cyber Threat Response team as part of the Security Operations Center (SOC), acting as the second line of defense for escalated security incidents, threats, and alerts. This person will perform Incident Response services with the CSIRT to figure out scope of incidents and work through remediation tasks in direct support of the operations of the organization. The SOC Analyst will also create and update documentation around use case triaging and response processes. This role does involve a 24x7 on-call rotation and the schedule will be 1 week on, 6 weeks off.

$40/hr to $55/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of! employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

Qualifications

* 4+ years of Cyber Security experience in a 24x7 SOC environment (detection & monitoring)

* 2+ years of AWS and/or Azure cloud experience: GuardDuty, Defender, Sentinel, M365, etc.

* Experience in Incident Response & Threat detection/response and remediation tasks

* Strong understanding of endpoint security controls: Mitigation, DLP, anti-virus, malware protection, etc.

* Experience with Security Tools such as Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, Defender, Palo Alto Suites, etc.

* Prior experience building use cases for alerts

* Ability to create and update documentation in support of incident response processes

* Strong communication skills and willing to work in an on-call rotation Pluses:

* SANS Certifications

* Cloud or Security Certifications

* Any Palo Alto experience null
