Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develop and implement inventory and merchandise plans to support Peter Millar's sales and growth objectives.

Manage finished inventory levels across all teams maintaining in stock levels based on league cycles and team performance.

Utilize daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for analysis and distribution to inform inventory purchase and flow decisions.

Collaborate with the Planners and Corporate/Licensed Sales Team to maximize sales, gross margin, inventory productivity, and in-stock rates.

Conduct thorough analysis of sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to inform planning decisions.

Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, sales trends, and other key metrics.

Support the development and execution of promotional strategies and seasonal assortments.

Analyze past season inventory to ensure proper exit strategies and report on progress of closeouts to team.

Track gross and net margin by license.

Coordinate and manage Hot Market meetings during Hot Market events

Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.

Skills and Requirements

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BA or BS in Business/Finance or related field

Extensive knowledge of the four major American sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL including college)

Apparel knowledge and luxury brand experience is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of forecasting software related to demand planning is a plus.

Experience with licensing or royalty agreements a plus. QUALIFICATIONS:

Passion for Sports: A strong interest in and knowledge of the four major American sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL including college).

Planning Experience: Proven experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or a related field.

Retail Math Expertise: Excellent understanding of retail math and its application in planning and analysis.

Excel Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.

Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, fostering strong relationships with cross-functional teams. null
