Job Description
We are seeking a technically savvy developer who is proficient in RPG LE, ILE, and SQL, particularly in embedding SQL inside RPGSQLE. This role is 100% about soft skills, communication, and problem-solving. While any developer knows syntax, we are looking for someone who can handle ambiguous requirements for different reports and engage in conversations to help clarify these requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be a problem solver. They will be responsible for handling intake through ServiceNow as a ticket, assigning work, and constantly reprioritizing work with developers. They will also handle SLA failures and tickets coming directly from the business.
This role involves working on funded projects, adding project managers and analysts to define requirements, and developers to get system requirements. The role is mostly support-related, dealing with thousands of green screen builds and interfaces, and often asking for enhancements. The candidate will handle requests from clients, such as adding a new field or sending a new file.
The candidate will also be responsible for understanding CMS compliance regulations and creating projects out of new requirements that come in, which are due by the start of the next year. Problem-solving is the number one requirement for this role. The candidate should start with open-ended questions, talk through the process in depth, and ask more questions. Short one-liners are not what we are interested in; we want to hear more.

Sr. Level experience with RPGILE
Must have worked in a recent project with RPGILE
Experience with Embedded SQL (RPGSQLE)
Must be able to articulate experience and walk through step by step how they solve ambiguous client requests
Must be a creative problem solver with a collaborative personality - Experience executing tickets from ServiceNow null
