Insight Global TS/SCI cleared Lead FPGA Engineer (Future Systems) in El Segundo, California

Job Description

A large aerospace company is looking for a TS/SCI cleared Lead Future Systems Engineer to join their team in El Segundo, CA.

This Engineer will be responsible for leading a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Testing (SIET) team on the development and integration of new FPGA and ASIC components.

Defining requirements and capabilities in an agile model-based engineering environment.

Partnering with internal teams to understand the current state and future goals for testing, verification and validation

Identify, coordinate and communicate requirements, functional threads and interfaces for incorporation into system architecture, modeling environment and system physical design

Oversee development of system electronics and the integration of those electronics into other systems

Oversee integration technologies under development with larger system concept of operations and determine impacts to interfaces, integration techniques, manufacturability and integrated system testing.

Identify, innovate and oversee development and maintenance of new tools and processes to support this work scope

Support and lead customer engagement for technologies under research & development

Define functional architecture and modeling needs and coordinate efforts with functional architecture and modeling/simulation teams to meet end item deliverable test, verification and validation schedules.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelors degree in STEM and 14+ years of electrical engineering experience

 Extensive experience with FPGA and ASIC development

 Experience reviewing use cases, writing technical requirements, and taking them down to the basic level

 Experience with early stage technology development

 Experience leading teams through the full product lifecycle

 Experience driving project schedules and identifying and mitigating risks

 Active TS/SCI clearance Active TS/SCI with polygraph null
