Insight Global Data Protect Engineer in Englewood, Colorado
Job Description
Our client is a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, and their Application Platforms Services team is looking for a Data Protect Engineer to work in their Infrastructure as a Service group focused on on-prem cloud by ensuring reliability, availability, scalability of IaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation and tooling. There are two primary objectives that this Engineer will work on: (1) getting new clusters installed and working to get 100% of their regional data centers (RDCs) backed up and 100% of critical applications data protected in their national data centers (NDCs) across the US, and (2) Scope and plan global management of Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC).
On a day-to-day basis, candidates will:
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our on-premises private cloud IaaS offering.
- Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure, monitoring and alerting systems, and ensuring high availability of our services.
- Play a key role in automating processes and developing tools to improve operational efficiency. This role will focus on Data Protection Platforms.
- Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the reliability and availability of our services.
- Automate processes and develop tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Conduct regular performance testing and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance of the infrastructure.
- Ensure that our PaaS and IaaS platforms meets the needs of our customers, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement processes for incident management, problem management, and change management in alignment with Incident and Change Management Polices
- Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of PaaS and IaaS services to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans and perform regular testing to ensure their effectiveness.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization efforts.
- Perform Installation, Upgrades and Implementation of Rubrik Data Protect systems.
-This role has a pay range of $65-$75/hour, depending heavily on years and level of experience.
