Insight Global IP Network Engineer in Englewood, Colorado

Job Description

Our client is a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, and their optical network operations group is responsible for testing, installation, onboarding, and configuration of their core hardware to support their nationwide network of subscribers. Were standing up a pod of three Denver based IP Network Engineers to install and onboard 120 devices within their service footprint by the end of the year. All work will be conducted during normal business hours, no maintenance windows required.

On a day-to-day basis, candidates will:

- Participates in network planning, network architecture design and engineering.

- Review MOPs and work cross-functionally on equipment readiness.

- Perform device installations and onboarding.

- Complete design reviews and installations of DAA (distributed access architecture) related hub upgrades.

- Conduct research of production network devices.

- Create tickets and work projects in Jira.

- Collaborate with Field, Business Planning, DOCSIS, Optical, and other teams

- Assists in the development and documentation of technical standards.

- Develops and implements approved methods of procedure (MOPs).

Skills and Requirements

- 3-5+ years network engineering experience

- Cisco and Juniper equipment

- Routing & switching BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, and/or ISIS

- Experience working in a large enterprise company, preferably telecom/MSO/cable - CCNA or CCNP

- Juniper certification

- DOCSIS

- Optical engineering null
