Insight Global Linux Video Systems Engineers in Englewood, Colorado
Job Description
Our client is a Fortune 100 telecommunications company, and their IP Video Operations team built a NextGen cDVR platform in a short period time. This group is on the operations side, and the team will be partnering closely with a lab environment to ensure the platform is tested and fully ready for a production environment going live to subscribers.
On a day-to-day basis, candidates will:
- Work in IBM and Synamedia tools for orchestration of content recordings.
- Utilize Ansible for automation of tasks.
- After content has been encoded, ensure the video is packaged and sent out in individual URLs to the CDN.
- Partner closely with video lab engineers and software developers to ensure the NextGen cDVR platform is ready for Go-Live.
- Participate in periodic maintenance window work.
- Deploy automated solutions and dashboards for video devices that are intuitive and easy to understand.
- Quickly understand unique and complex platform architectures.
- Collaborate with internal customers on requirement gathering and clarification to identify opportunities.
- Maintain and support existing tool catalog.
- Prioritize and scope features and new products based on customer input and technical direction.
- Solve issues in the production in various databases.
- Identify, prioritize, and reduce technical debt while meeting tool development deliverables and timelines.
- This role has a pay range of $60-$72/hour, depending on years and level of experience.

- Experience with VoD (Video on Demand), IPTV, MPEG, DVR/cDVR, Video Delivery, CDN (Content Delivery Network), AND/OR Synamedia null
