Insight Global System Administrator in Fort Collins, Colorado
Job Description
This position is for the direct administration of R&D Infrastructure systems onsite in Fort Collins and includes all aspects of system administration. Qualified candidates will be able to maintain all aspects of installed systems, including hardware, operating systems, installed applications, storage systems and network hardware. In addition, candidates will be effective in communicating with both technical and non-technical users, as well as with outside teams. Candidates will be able to generate documentation related to tasks and procedures for system administration and future deployments.
Other responsibilities as an IT Systems Professional, include:
Maintain the integrity, stability and support of R&D Infrastructure servers in a R&D non-production environment
Provide design, planning and implementation of new and/or upgraded technology to meet business requirements
Ensure that servers, storage and related network devices are operating within recommended parameters
Provide technical support for issue troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures
Maintain physical servers, storage and network components related to R&D Infrastructure
Maintain virtual servers running Windows and/or Linux
Ensure that server configurations are tuned to provide required performance for applications and teams
Ensure the operating system, applications and data stored on individual servers are backed up on a regular, consistent basis within the business requirements to restore required servers to a fully operational state within reasonable time limits
Provide quick and courteous response to users and teams when assisting with issues related to the design, access, use and performance of servers and applications
Define steps for system changes and/or upgrades, including backout and remediation plans
Track and audit Infrastructure changes and maintenance
Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of operating system levels and security patches
Research technologies to integrate with new and existing business systems to improve performance and access
Ensure proper documentation of processes and procedures for systems and environments
Maintain document repositories and applications
Maintain File Shares and Active Directory groups for access/permissions
Provide knowledge and assistance to users in relation to maintain Cyber Security compliance with corporate standards
Interface with R&D Cyber Security and corporate IT resources for issues outside of R&D Infrastructure
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law
$35/hr

Skills and Requirements
BA or BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
5+ years server and network experience, with specific use of Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft products, as well as support of Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, SLES)
Virtualization experience, focusing on Hyper-V required, with VMware and Citrix an asset
System hardware maintenance experience
Demonstrated experience with external storage systems and technologies such as RAID levels and iSCSI
Application support experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Sharepoint 365, IIS, File Sharing, NFS, SMB and associated technologies preferred - Microsoft and Cyber Security certifications null
