Insight Global Systems Engineer II in Fort Collins, Colorado

Job Description

A client in the Fort Collins, CO is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team full time w/ 2-3 days a week onsite. They will be focused on solving tier 1-2 level service requests including troubleshooting/maintaining/upgrading windows servers, firewalls, and server to server migrations. The candidate will also support all ServiceNow requests and Active Directory issues. The System Engineer will be responsible for all support from Tier 1-2, until the issues are either resolved or needing to be escalated to that particular vendor. The candidate will be responsible for backend management of the VMware environment, adding RAM and working with distributed switches. The candidate will work with SAN -- upgrading firmware and managing storage SAN. This candidate will also need to be familiar with NERC & FERC CIP guidelines, being able to create and maintain record forms from the customer -- obeying standards and collecting evidence from patch upgrades, migrations, traffic of SCADA network, etc. The ideal candidate will sit within an hour of Fort Collins, CO and be able to go onsite 3 days a week.

Pay Rate: $115,440 - $124,800

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience solving tier 1- 2 level Windows O365 service requests to include, troubleshooting/maintaining/upgrading windows servers, firewalls and server to server migrations

  • Experience managing the backend environment of VMware/VSphere, working with distributed switches and adding memory/RAM

  • Experience upgrading firmware on SAN and managing storage SAN

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving Active Directory and ServiceNow requests

  • Knowledge of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation's (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) guidelines -- a set of requirements designed to secure assets required for operating North America's bulk electric system (CIP-006, CIP-007, CIP-010, CIP-011) - Network routing and switches null
