Insight Global Risk Adjustment Coder in Fort Myers, Florida

Job Description

Insight Global Health is seeking a dedicated risk adjustment coder for a health care client located in the Fort Myers, FL area to join their team. The risk adjustment coder will be responsible for:

 -Performing medical record audits to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, as well as with institutional/organizational standards, practices, policies and procedures

 -Performing prospective and retrospective reviews and clinical documentation improvement opportunities

 -Translating patient histories, symptoms, diagnoses and treatments into codes using HCC coding

 -Providing guidance and advice for reporting policies mandated by government entities and other payers for completion of coded data including level of service, diagnosis, procedure and diagnostic code assignments

 -Reviewing and identifying trends in coding discrepancies and notify applicable department for potential training and education

 -Working collaboratively to develop and maintain educational materials and training programs for provider education

 -Identifying issues and determining impact to risk adjustment models and reports results for various products and services

Skills and Requirements

· 3+ years experience in Physician/professional service coding

· 3+ Experience with Medicare risk adjustment coding and HCC coding (retrospective and prospective experience)

· Valid CPC certification

· Experience with provider education -Bachelors Degree or associates degree in related field preferred

-EPIC Experience

-CRC certification null
