Insight Global Junior Business Analyst in Houston, Texas
Job Description
An Oil & Gas company in the Downtown, Houston area is looking to hire a Junior Business Analyst / Product Analyst. This team supports the software dedicated to Environmental Planning and Economics of the O&G operations. This person will be responsible for supporting multiple application upgrade and enhancement projects. He/She will be communicating with the field engineers to gather application requirements and relaying those requirements to the development team. Additionally, they will be doing data analysis, identifying KPIs, and using data to help resolve business problems. This position requires an onsite presence 5 days/week. Depending on level of experience and knowledge, the hourly rate ranges from $28-$50/hr.

Skills and Requirements
Domain knowledge in the Oil & Gas industry
Degree in a related field (Petroleum Engineering, Business, Environmental Economics, etc.)
Knowledgeable in SQL
Experience problem solving through Data Analytics
Exposure to software engineering and development Strong SQL skills (stored procedures, writing queries)
Experience with SpotFire
Any software development experience null
