Insight Global Controls Process Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description

One of Insight Global's large Agricultural Sciences companies is looking for a proactive, business-partner-centric Controls Engineer to join the team located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. The qualified candidate will successfully build and maintain partnerships across the scientific community to deliver research efficiency via novel and innovative industrial automation controls solutions for the company's research labs. This role requires a strong focus on automation controls, particularly how it relates to process timing, parallel processes, and production optimization. The candidate will work both independently and in a team setting, in collaboration with current team members and processes, and closely with their science business partners and technology vendors. You will:

* Perform process mapping and optimization on existing controls schema

* Develop custom machine control system changes (process improvement, restructuring control software, etc.)

* Prepare process flow diagrams, schematics, and other project documentation

* Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs

* Collaborate with external vendors to identify, evaluate, and integrate their hardware and technologies into Corteva processes

* Assist in installation and validation of equipment into service

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science

Experience with industrial PLC controls system design

Experience with automation systems integration

Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs Experience with Ignition HMI

Experience in lab-based Chemical, Chemical Manufacturing, or Allied industries null
