Insight Global CICS Systems Programmer (Part-Time) in Lincoln, Nebraska
Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Part Time (20 hours/week) CICS Systems Programmer to join our insurance client. This role's responsibilities will be to program, engineer, deploy, configure, and test in their Mainframe CICS infrastructure. They will join a team of 3 others.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience working with all CICS setup parameters especially those which control performance in a CICSPlex environment.
Ability to do Web service installation and support
Comfortable performing SMP/E software upgrades and maintenance
Knowledge of CICS SMF record structure to gather statistics necessary to tune CICS regions
Expertise of the CICS resource definitions that pertain to CICS region performance
Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning
Experienced using Sysview for CICS monitoring
This role can pay between $40-50/hr.

Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Mainframe CICS systems programming, deploying, configuring, and testing infrastructure
Experience working with CICS setup parameters for a CICSPlex environment.
Ability to support SMP/E and CICS/TS environments
Ability to do Web service installation and support
Comfortable performing SMP/E software upgrades and maintenance
Knowledge of CICS SMF record structure to gather statistics necessary to tune CICS regions
Expertise of the CICS resource definitions that pertain to CICS region performance
Ability to perform problem determination, dump analysis and performance tuning
Experienced using Sysview for CICS monitoring - Experienced with storage management such as using Dell Powermax
Familiarity with Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM) null
