Insight Global Senior Network Engineer in Littleton, Colorado
Job Description
A large telecommunications company headquartered in Littleton, CO is looking for a Network Engineer to support their nationwide 5G wireless initiative. This person will be working on the design, engineering, and deployment of network routing devices for a nationwide 5G network buildout. This person will need to be able to provide advanced expertise in the planning and development of network test, validation, and integration plans on projects and assurance of network integrity. Other responsibilities will include reviewing architectural requirements, providing analysis for network and service specifications, and design and implement complex LAN/WAN configurations at a nationwide scale.
This position is currently slated as a 3 month contract to hire. This person will sit 5 days on-site at the Littleton, CO location. This role is paying between $65-70/hr, based on experience and education levels. Insurance benefits and a 401K are offered throughout the contract period, and upon conversion. Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in network/computer engineering
10-12 years of experience as a Network Engineer
Experience working with Cisco Routers and switches (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS)
Advanced knowledge of network monitoring and performance tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.
Experience with support network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, IPv4, etc.) Professional networking certifications are a plus CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.
Public cloud certifications are a plus advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent.
Network automation or scripting with Python, Bash, Ansible
Experience with AWS infrastructure null
