Insight Global REMOTE System Administrator in Los Angeles, California
Job Description
A prestigious University in Los Angeles is looking for a System Administrator to join their server team and infrastructure group. The day to day will include supporting the cloud engineering team and outsourced migration project partner with managing and overseeing the migration of data, applications, and services to AWS. Additionally, this system admin will perform standard system administration duties such as maintaining network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring, potentially some patching and installing servers, and working with networking team to ensure alignment regarding security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. They may also coordinate with network users and respond to complex system problems. They will also troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, network connectivity, and security. Lastly, they will conduct regular system audits and prepare reports on migration progress and system status.
PR Range: $58-$75

Skills and Requirements
-4+ years of system administration experience ideally with a focus on cloud migrations
-2+ years working with AWS (for example cloud migration project from on prem to AWS)
-Strong knowledge of AWS services, tools, and best practices for migration -local to LA and can be hybrid 1-3 days per week
-Higher education experience
-Worked with an outsourced managed service partner on migrations
-AWS Certified, SysOps Admin Certified
-Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell null
