Insight Global Bilingual Youth Care Professional (Backend Awake Overnight) in Martinsburg, West Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Youth Care Professionals (YCP) in Martinsburg, West Virginia. As a Youth Care Worker, you would provide mentorship, coaching, and support to children, aged 12-17 years old, in a shelter setting. this individual will be responsible for working directly with unaccompanied children. They will be in charge of supervision of children at all times through all program activities and follow all program rules and procedures. They will utilize program approved plans to teach children useful skills such as social skills and relationship building. Coach kids on cleanliness and orderliness in their personal hygiene, living unit and the surrounding campus. Encourage children to reach academic success by Supporting the kids getting ready for school (on grounds). link the kids to the medical team if they need anything.

Youth Care Professionals will be responsible for completing important documentation such as shift logs, bed checks, incident reports. Youth Care Professionals will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment per agency standards and will identify and report any items that are damaged or need to be repaired/replaced. Ensuring that health needs are identified and met in a specified time frame as well as accurately administer medication per agency and state requirements. Youth Care Professionals will provide transportation using agency vehicles for scheduled appointments as needed.

Salary ranges from $37-57,000 based on experience

Skills and Requirements

* High School Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field

* Bilingual (English/ Spanish, however French, Arabic is also excepted)

* At least one year experience working with immigration, children welfare, social services and/or other related .

* Understanding of trauma-informed care

* Ability to pass background checks and screening.

* Must have a valid, active, driver's license with less than 7 points.

* Computer knowledge and skills null
