Insight Global Electronics Cable Technician in Mason, Ohio
Job Description
An employer is seeking an experienced troubleshooter to support their automated and manual test stands. This position will build and support multiple test stands across the organization. Familiar with test methodology, troubleshooting of test equipment, electronic system troubleshooting, PC troubleshooting, cable troubleshooting is a must. This person will also be responsible for the build of test stands. Including cable build, cable routing, test stand assembly, and test equipment setup. He/She will work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Duties include supervised and unsupervised assignments in direct support of an engineer or program, usually in a specific field requiring the application of technical fundamentals. Depending on previous experience, this person could be spending a lot of time building just one system while others could be building multiple copies of one test system. This could also include crimping, soldering, building and repairing cables. The cables are mostly 20 gauge wire or smaller (around 28 volts).

Skills and Requirements
Level B - HS Diploma and 4 years OR Assoc and 2 years of relevant exp. 1 year of electronic test/measurement
Level C - HS Diploma and 6 years OR Assoc and 2 years of exp. 2 years of electronic test/measurement
Level D - HS Diploma and 8 years OR Assoc and 4 years of exp. 4 years of electronic test/measurement.
Level E - HS Diploma and 10 years OR Assoc and 6 years of exp. 6 years of electronic test/measurement.
Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment (DMM, Hipot Tester, Meggar Test, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Frequency Counter) EE Degree
Excellent excel background; formula / macro writing / pivot tables null
