Insight Global Data Manager in Murrysville, Pennsylvania

Job Description

Overview:

Insight Global is looking for a Data Manager to join one of our largest medical manufacturing companies in the Pittsburgh area. The Data Manager will join the Corrections and Removals team of our client and will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of data related to product recalls. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and organized databases, analyzing recall trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop recall strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Data Manager will also be responsible for generating reports, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the recall process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and a keen attention to detail.

Day to Day:

 Develop a platform to manage traceability network output effectively

 Ensure traceability of materials is maintained

 Develop data pipelines to track product traceability through the lifecycle: manufacturing, distribution, field, customer

 Create efficient processes to document parts information accurately

 Prepare for a recall evens by:

 Identifying the problem

 Determining affected products

 Gathering scope details such as product numbers, lot numbers, serial numbers

 Creating a list of affected units

 Identifying customers to contact or send notifications

 Gathering device details including model numbers and regulatory information

 Identifying countries where products are registered

 Developing tools to extract necessary information from the current SAP system, improving on current manual processes.

 Improving the current SAP Query system for extracting specific details like part numbers, day ranges, manufacturing issues, and tracking information about purchases, shipments, and product status

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelors Degree (ideally computer science or data science)

- 3 + years of experience with SAP

- 3+ years of experience with PowerBI

- 3+ years of experience working within a data management environment

- Previous experience withing regulated industry - Healthcare or Pharmaceutical background

- Basic understanding of medical device regulations

o ISO 13485, FDA QSR, 21 CFR 806 null
