Insight Global General Manager in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a General Manager for our client, a franchisee of a large health club chain, in the Nashville, TN area. This person will oversee the operation of a large 24/7 health club and will work closely with Area Leadership to build a positive and enthusiastic team atmosphere as well as a financially successful club. This position will be accountable for leading a team of employees in a positive, motivating manner with continuous assistance in employee training and development. In this role you will be responsible for scheduling staff, ensuring all shifts are covered and that staff is providing exceptional customer service at all times. It's expected that the General Manager leads by example with involvement in all front desk related activities such as greeting members, answering phones, touring and signing up new members, etc. Additionally, the GM is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, participating in regular facility cleaning and club upkeep such as mopping up spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors and re-racking weights

Skills and Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience leading or managing a team

  • Excellent customer service skills, ideally from hospitality, retail or restaurant industry (or something similar)

  • Ability to create and maintain a positive work atmosphere and team culture

  • Flexible schedule (occasional nights and weekend work may be required) - Passion for the fitness industry null
