Job Description
The Billing/Collections Manager must have experience measuring the hospital's outstanding accounts receivables and determine the potential value, cost to collect and necessary effort. He/she will be asked to assess prospective customers' AR to determine project scope, collection estimates, determine the number of biller/collectors needed and the projected project length. Expertise in the field of hospital operations, revenue cycle technologies, patient financial services, claims and remittance is ideal. Understand "payer requirements" a must. He/she should have prior billing management experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Coordinates with customers to collect information, receive directions, provide updates, build reports and trust.
* Develop and deliver ongoing education to team members, coach staff, and deliver focused training where and when needed.
* Manage day-to-day customer needs, resolving issues, prioritizing new tasks, delegating and assigning efforts to subordinates, communicating back to the customer
* Responsible for maintaining and prioritizing quality deliverables, accuracy, up-to-date status documentation, and performance

Skills and Requirements
- Most recent experience working with MEDITECH specifically their latest version EXPANSE
- 1-2 years of experience working with popular EMRs (Meditech, Epic, Cerner)
- Billing/Collections experience and payer requirements (preferably both governmental and commercial)
- Project management, and employee management experience
- Hospital Revenue Cycle or Patient Financial Services experience
- Denial Management and denial remediation experience
- Experience working in the financial and clinical industry. * Certified in Medical Billing/Collections, Revenue Cycle
* Strong analytical skills, technical skills working with the nation's most popular EMR (Epic, MEDITECH, and Cerner
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills null
