Insight Global IT Systems Assistant in New York, New York

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking an IT Support Specialist to help support their faculty, staff and students in Manhattan, NY. This position is a 6-month contract with ongoing extensions, and the hours are 7:30-3:45pm EST, Monday-Friday. The pay range for this position is between $25-31/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

To provide UNIS staff, faculty, students and parents with the first line of clear and

professional technical support in a variety of ways, including but not limited to in person,

phone, and video support.

To provide instructional assistance in both academic and non-academic areas as pertains

to technology equipment, software and related services.

To install and maintain technology equipment under the management of the

Information Technology Department.

To assist with technology equipment under the management of other departments as

guided by the Information Technology Department's annual goals and objectives.

To assist the other members of the Information Technology Department with the

installation and operation of software and web services, as well as the implementation

and administration of mobile device applications and infrastructure.

To assist when necessary on the installation and maintenance of the information

technology infrastructure, including but not limited to the network and server related

tasks.

Skills and Requirements

* Experience with laptop support and troubleshooting operating systems in MAC and Windows (Mac preferred over WIN)

* Experience with productivity suites (google workspace, Office 365, etc)

* Audio visual (A/V) experience -- (will be supporting classrooms - plugging in HDMI cables and troubleshooting TVs)

* Punctual, reliable, and great customer service orientation

* C+ or CompTIA certs major plus

* Experience supporting a school is a major plus null
