Insight Global REMOTE- Senior Security Engineer in Plano, Texas
Job Description
An employer is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to sit remotely. You will primarily be responsible for designing, implementing, and oversee the maintenance of security systems as the primary escalation point of contact for security incidents. Incidents may range from network security, web security, cyber attacks or other related alerts. You will hold a crucial role in identifying and responding to security threats and ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. You will perform risk management assessments/ audits by leveraging internal teams/ processes. In addition, you will mitigate risks that are recognized in the various store locations and participate in planning sessions to ensure the proper security/ risk factors are taken in to account. You will also play a heavy role in configuration/ implementation of security tools to track KPIs and hold expert knowledge around WAF, SIEM, network security, and vulnerability management products. Additional tasks will include escalation for L2/ L3 issues, implement new security tools/ processes, identify any vulnerabilities or weaknesses, build/ update security run books, and own the overall assessment for any security tied to the clients store locations.
$135-$145K

Skills and Requirements
7+ years experience in security engineering
Strong background in risk management and security audits
Extensive experience in web related security- WAF (Akami), web services, SIEM
Experience building security run books and cloud security (AWS)
Network security and L2/ L3 incident response experience
SOC background/ experience CISSP/ CISM certifications
Akami experience null
