Insight Global Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in Reston, Virginia
Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join a top homebuilder in the United States and help advance their overall cybersecurity posture. This is a technical role where you will help manage and configure the security platforms (SIEM, IDR, DLP, etc.) for an enterprise organization. Your responsibilities will also be spread across optimizing Azure Cloud Security, Web Application Firewalls, and DevSecOps. This role is senior in nature and candidates should feel confident operating independently. Additional responsibilities include:
- Manage, configure, develop, and enhance a range of security platforms and technologies for the enterprise across SIEM, IDR, DLP, Cloud Security and more.
- Tools include Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Cloud, Azure Purview, Senitnel SIEM, ZScalar, Tenable, Qualys, and more
- Assist in development, implementation, and management of security measures and controls to protect systems, infrastructure, data, and security platforms.
- Play a key role in our Data Security Program with engineering the deployment, configuration, and management of data security protection technologies and data classification.
- Assist with security engineering efforts with other cyber security platforms such as Security information and event management, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Vulnerability Management.
- Conduct evaluation and implementation of new security technologies, tools, and methodologies.
The pay range for this position is between $100,000 and $170,000 depending on years of experience.

Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of Cybersecurity Engineering experience is required.
- Experience with deployment, configuration, and management of diverse number of security solutions and platforms such as DLP, CASB, SIEM, EDR, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, or MDM.
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and grow as an engineer and security professional.
- Dedication to continuous improvement, security process engineering, and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and emerging trends. - Engineering and technical experience with Microsoft cloud security technologies such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Experience with the design, configuration, and maintenance of a web application firewall (WAF) and networking technologies.
- Security engineering experience with some of the common cyber security platforms and solutions such as Security information and event management, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Vulnerability management.
- Strong understanding of the DevSecOps pipeline and related security components, such as SAST, DAST, SCA.
- Experience in multiple scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
- Microsoft Azure certification such as Microsoft Azure SC-100, SC-200, or SC-300.
- Cyber Security certification such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, ISSEP or ISSAP. null
