Insight Global Senior Architect in Roanoke, Virginia

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Architect to be based in our Roanoke, VA office.The Senior Architect will be responsible for the following items:

  Coordinates a team effort to deliver various-sized projects through diverse design and construction phases

  Will communicate with the Project Manager on the project work plan, deliverables, and schedule

  Will use their diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices, building codes, standards, and building construction technologies to develop and deliver quality projects to our clients

  Will lead integrated design teams of varying sizes to accomplish project delivery from concept through construction document completion and may perform construction administration

  Ensures communication between project management, project team, consultants, and Client

  Promotes project delivery through architectural guidance and technically feasible solutions

  Fosters professional development and mentorship for emerging professionals

Skills and Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  BA/BS in Architecture or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  Licensed Architect Bachelors degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Masters degree in Architecture with ten (10) years of relevant experience in design, resolving technical issues, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  DOD, Higher Education, Municipal and/or Science & Technology experience is preferred

  Revit and BIM as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, InDesign, Bluebeam, and software such as Rhino, SketchUp, or other visualization tools

  Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate a collaborative environment

  Affinity with developing details and experience in construction documents

  Ability to be client-facing and lead client discussions and charrettes

  Ability to multi-task and be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines.

  Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment null
