Insight Global Project Manager in Sacramento, California

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to oversee their Public Safety portfolio work with the State of California. By taking over the previous Project Manager's portfolio this will allow them to move into more of a Leadership role for the company.

Meeting with stakeholders, deepen relationships, and delivering on projects will be key for this position.

Pay rate = $55-58/hr.

Skills and Requirements

  1. Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

  2. Minimum of five (5) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible PM project experience applying PM principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.

  3. A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute. The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience.

  4. Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a lead PM for a complex State of California Information Technology (IT) project(s), related specifically to a law enforcement agency.

  5. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing both external and internal stakeholders.

  6. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing or providing expertise and leadership to a large-scale and complex enterprise technology project that include a legacy system(s) replacement(s) with multiple implementation phases.

  7. Minimum of five (5) years of experience planning and applying industry standards, principles, methods, and techniques to deliver IT systems.

  8. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with public sector staff, management, and executives to prepare and deliver written and verbal communications for management, executives, and project stakeholders.

  9. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing or providing leadership to project(s) which had multiple stakeholders.

  10. Experience delivering executive level briefings. 1. Experience working with communications center environment specific to law enforcement environments with radio communications.

  11. Experience working with user groups to conduct configuration sessions, testing, pilot setup, and coordinating of statewide training and implementation.

  12. Experience with developing documents according to the requirements for California Project Management Framework (CA-PMF) Project Approval lifecycle (PAL) and preparing budget change concepts and proposals, which lead to State of California control agency approval. null
