Insight Global Professional Services Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri
Job Description
Our client, a premier data center service provider of cloud, colocation, managed services and DR, is looking for a motivated Sr. Professional Services Engineer to join their Professional Services team. The Professional Services team enables customers' digital transformation journeys with best practices, innovation and, technical leadership for adoption of our client's services.
They will be working alongside a team of Cloud Architects to meet with existing and new customers that are looking for move into their cloud environments and couple that with other offerings like DR (Zerto is their tool). They will be utilizing tools to log into the client's existing environments and perform IT Assessments to understand what is there from a Disaster Recovery, virtualization and cloud environment and then they will be making suggestions alongside the team on what needs to be done to a ready state status of their environment to migrate them to their new one. They will be drafting the recommendations for clients and be working with 2-8 at any given time, depending on size of environments. They will be working directly with customer explaining the process and recommendations so this person needs to have client facing experience explaining to non-technical personal the why behind their work through their knowledge and customer service. They have complex technical environments that they will work with and they need to able to simplify the work to the client successfully so they are educated on next steps and align with them.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of System Engineering experience
2+ years of public cloud experience - Azure is primary need, AWS is secondary
Experience in an Engineering role where they work with 3rd party client outside of their own company (Worked for a professional services company, independent consultant work for clients, etc.)
Experience performing IT Assessments for various clients
Knowledge they will be apply of VMs (how we would define a fail over method, navigating v-center)
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery, DR testing and experience with DR tools (Zerto is their tool -- plus to have)
Experience where they have deployed tools into a client environment to log into their systems, maneuvering through the env, collect data and then documents and recommend based on findings (Log into the v-center environment, log into public cloud environment utilizing tools, etc.)
Strong VMWare
Understanding of DR testing Draft and make recommendations on ready state to migration (2-8 clients)
