Job Description

- Active Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligibility)

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development or technical field

- 4-5 years of experience in database administration

- 10 years of experience in information technology in a DOD environment

- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and its functionality

- Ability to manage enterprise level databases

- Understanding of the functionality of various cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

- Experience working within an Agile environment

Skills and Requirements

Insight Global is looking for a SQL DBA to support a federal client sitting at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. They will be client-facing and should be comfortable and professional when speaking with government customers.

Responsibilities will include:

- Installation, configuration, and upgrade of enterprise level database in compliance with Air Force regulation.

- Maintaining optimal database performance to ensure efficiency for users.

- Ensure that database adheres to any and all policies and regulation set forth by the government.

- Collaborate with adjacent teams to ensure that database remains protected against potential threats and security patches are implemented rapidly.

- Manipulate the database into or within a cloud environment for maximum efficiency.

- Plan and implement agile methodologies and techniques. - Experience working in DoD acquisition and financial management

- Good communications and organization skills to be able to perform presentations, briefings, etc. and work on multiple projects at a time null
