Insight Global Compliance Analyst, Licensing (remote) in San Diego, California

Job Description

A top employer in the mortgage industry is looking for a Compliance Analyst, Licensing to join their team in a fully remote role. This mortgage company uses the retail model and consists of 3000+ loan officers and 700+ licensed locations. This person will support 1 to 3 sales regions including managers and LOs. The ticketing system this person will use is Zendesk and they'll use Microsoft Excel on a daily basis.

As the Compliance Analyst, Licensing, this person's primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 - Responsible for supporting Compliance Management Division to ensure the company is operating in accordance with applicable laws.

 - Ensure Guild remains in good standing with state and federal government agencies including Secretary of State offices, state regulatory agencies, CFPB, and Guild's investors.

 - Review, monitor, and renew Company, branch, and loan originator licenses through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), review federal and state legislative changes, complete annual, quarterly, and monthly reports, and Mortgage Call Reports.

 - Prepare and submit applications for mortgage lender or general business licensing for the company.

 - Manages the new license application process and license maintenance for company, branch, and MLO licensing by researching state requirements and communicating directly with state licensing departments to research guidelines and seek resolution of licensing issues.

 - Monitor continuing education requirements for MLOs and ensure they are met prior to company license renewal.

 - Periodically perform compliance checks to ensure MLO information is accurate in NMLS and employee files.

 - Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and license renewals (city/county and state). Identify changes to filing requirements and inform management.

 - Monitor and renew existing company, branch, and loan originator licenses. Provide guidance to Loan Officers, Branch Managers, Production, and Servicing regarding licensing matters.

SHIFT/SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday

Roughly 40+ hours per week

Flexible start times based on time zone and personal preference.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience focused on NMLS compliance supporting a mid to enterprise size retail mortgage company (ie 30+ locations, 200+ LOs)

  • MLS / NMLS compliance experience specific to the mortgage industry (retail background required) - compliance experience focused on the mortgage company and the loan officers

  • Experience working through a ticketing system to resolve compliance requests (this company uses Zendesk)

  • High level Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Filters, etc.) - Zendesk ticketing system experience

  • Bachelor's degree null
