Insight Global Technical Support Engineer (Remote EST hours) in San Francisco, California

Job Description

A company that specializes in payment tokenization is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team for a contract role that will hopefully lead to longer extensions as well as a potential full time opportunity. This role is open because they need help with someone on Paternity leave but the team is growing which is opening up the opportunity for a long contract. Right now the team has 3 TSE's in the US, 4 in Europe and 1 in India. This candidate has to be okay working in the EST to balance the teams coverage. The main product is a proxy that is similar to an API. 80% of the work are tickets and most of their companies use salesforce. Tickets are long and in depths, the average amount of tickets completed by one person per month is 50. Most of these are not down over the phone but if there are issues you may need to call the client to discuss the details. You will be asked to be on call 1 weekend per month and usually its 1-2 cases per month on the weekend and only for urgent cases. For the interview process you will have a call with the manager, then a tech screening and a final with the Director. This process will go pretty quick because the client is looking to hire this person asap.

Skills and Requirements

Scripting knowledge - must be able to read code and make edits as needed. Other Scripting languages will work but Python is preferred

Strong network familiarity, OSI Model, proxy/APIs etc.

3-5 years of total experience

Strong customer service

Ability to work in EST Related certifications
