Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
As part of the Writing business segment, this individual is responsible for the completion and administration of benchmark testing, product qualification, and legal claims validation using Six Sigma tools and methodology. The role will require working on projects for Chemists, Engineers and Product Safety team on new product development and research initiatives. The individual will perform various experiments and tests associated with the development and analysis of inks, correction fluids, writing systems, correction systems, markers, pens and other stationary products. The individual will perform product testing on various writing systems such as markers, pens and other stationary products using laboratory instruments and machines. This would also involve collecting data, documenting results, writing reports, developing procedures and interpreting the findings. The position will require the individual to balance time between multiple projects to effectively meet target delivery dates of test results in compliance with defined specifications and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform testing of products with a willingness to create standard & unique test setups
Assist and or lead with competitor, validation and development testing
Acceptancy & Qualification testing
Supports the development and fabrication of unique test set-ups to meet engineering requirements
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Assists in the planning, execution and interpretation of designed experiments to identify and characterize critical process factors.
Ability to multi-task and present status verbally to colleagues and management in small group settings in a Lean environment
Maintaining a clean and efficient building/office, including floors, desks, tables, shelving, etc.
Routinely monitor tests/samples so product can be stored or disposed to ensure a tidy building
Communicates with engineering on product performance and functionality issues
Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, etc
Follow current process to generate Test Report documentation
Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to learn new technologies, equipment, and procedures through on-the-job training
Respond to change in priorities and adjust duties to align.

Follows 6S principals to maintain a clean, safe, organized and productive work area
Challenge status quo and current methods to improve processes.

Pay - Up to $26.00hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
Minimum work experience requirement:
* 0-2 years' experience in a laboratory setting
* Familiar with basic lab testing methods, procedures and techniques as well as the ability to work from written specifications and standards
* Excellent oral and written communication skill
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
* Strong organizational skills
* Career motivated, focused and professional
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
* Ability to calculate and analyze data, plot curves, create graphs/charts and write formal test reports
* Self-starting, highly motivated and capable of multi-tasking
* Demonstrated attention to detail
* Labview a plus null
