Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sonographer to join a highly motivated team at a local Women's OB/GYN healthcare practice in Silver Spring, MD. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Perform Breast and OB/Gyn sonography in accordance with company protocols in a proficient and timely manner. To include: Complete breast US, and limited breast US, transvaginal, pelvic, abdominal ultrasounds, obstetrical Doppler studies, as well as, ultrasound guided procedures

· Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations in accordance with infections disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.

· Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information

· Ensure that the sonography examination order is complete, contains relevant information and meets the standard of "medical necessity."

· Conduct patient clinical assessments and perform the diagnostic medical sonography examination ordered by the supervising physician in accordance with professional and facility protocols.

· As necessary, acquire additional ultrasound imaging to facilitate optimum diagnostic results for the interpreting physician.

· Identify and document any limitations to the sonography examination

· Provide preliminary report of sonography examinations for use by the interpreting physician.

Skills and Requirements

* Associates Degree or equivalent

* 3+ year in previous experience in OB/GYN

* Active ARDMS NEED OB cert.

* Active CPR certification

* Active BLS * Bilingual (Spanish + English)

* NexGen experience

* Experience with GE equipment. null
