Job Description
Establishing a data base on patients by obtaining an appropriate health, developmental and psychosocial history, as well as thoroughly conducting a physical examination and ordering/performing and interpreting screening and diagnostic procedures and tests.
Providing treatment according to accepted agency standards and protocols.
Assisting in the management of referred and/or complex problems with other members of the agency and community health nurses, mental health workers, social workers, and other community resources.
Performs minor office surgical procedures, dressing changes, and ambulatory treatments and diagnostics in accordance with approved privileges.
Works in a collaborative and appropriate manner with other agency providers, clinical support staff, and administrative personnel.
Recognizes and utilizes opportunities for health education for patients and families.
Maintains accurate legible medical records and returns all assigned charts or patient data (labs, reports, forms, etc.) to Medical Records in a timely fashion (i.e., charts before clinics begin the following day and other data within two days). Enters data into electronic medical record in a timely fashion as per policies.
