Insight Global Lead Network Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) project within the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily the Pentagon, Mark Center, and Springfield, VA. The program provides seamless cost-effective operational support for specific enterprise managed print services capability.

 Provide support to all facets of installation, operation, device upgrades (i.e., hard drive changes for Secret Internet Protocol Router Network [SIPRNet] to Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network [NIPRNet] transition), software/firmware replacement and upgrades, decommissioning, logistics, monitoring, management, and restoral of devices.

 Part of a cross-functional team contributing to network evaluation, hardware/software installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and installation of components appropriate for classroom and virtual learning infrastructure.

 Operate and maintain the end-user device configuration management portion of the network printer infrastructure, consisting of loading appropriate device drivers, adding, deleting, and modifying set-up to ensure operation of end-user devices.

 Submit data port activations to provide connectivity to print devices.

 Maintain log of all print queues, IP addresses, and serial numbers of all devices with associated print queues.

 Manage all information in accordance with defined information security parameters and DOD/Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

 Identify, create, configure, and manage current network print queues as necessary to include setup and testing of all print devices to include printers, copiers, multifunctional devices and any other device requiring management through the print server infrastructure.

 Test end-user network printer and ensure users in the vicinity of the device can print to the device.

 Upon direction of the Government, set and maintain printers with default settings of black and white print and duplex output when available and enable the option to select color output for individual print jobs.

 Provide a monthly report on STIG compliance for all systems (i.e., password setting, simple network management protocol (SNMP) community strings, firmware updates, etc.).

Skills and Requirements

Must have a SECRET Clearance, Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) is desired.

 Bachelors degree is required, A Masters degree is highly desired. Four (4) years of program management experience of similar scope, type, and complexity with at least one (1) of the four (4) years with the DoD may be substituted for a Bachelors degree

 Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for projects and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required

 Managing and performing integration operations and maintenance activities on multiple system domains of various security classification levels and diverse user bases concurrently

 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II security certification must be completed if personnel will be used for desktop driver installation. (NOTE: This could include Security +, CySA+, GICSP,GSEC,CND, and/or SSCP.

Targeting a pay range between $30-70 an hour. null
